Il-Ġardina draws inspiration from the gardens around us - foliage spilling over balconies, flowers peeking above walls, and greenery tucked into courtyards. Hand-painted botanical elements come together through digital collage, pairing rich colours and organic forms with the lines and patterns of the spaces they grow in.
Dahlia celebrates the generous blooms of orange dahlias, their layered petals painted in shades of gold, amber and burnt orange. Glossy green leaves overlap against a deep olive, striped background, giving the flowers warmth and depth. Inspired by densely planted garden corners, the artwork captures the pleasure of flowers growing closely together, each bloom opening a little differently.
